Director of Product, Content Experiences

We're looking for a dynamic Director of Product to lead our product vision and strategy across Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo. This role will focus on enhancing the traveler experience through compelling, relevant content that drives engagement and captures demand. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in consumer-facing experiences and a deep understanding of marketplace platforms and how to source content to improve our app and web flows. The candidate should have a keen interest and knowledge in leveraging AI to disrupt traditional approaches to content creation and delivery.

What you'll do:

  • Develop cross-brand content strategy: Lead a team of product managers to define and refine a long-term vision for content across our brands. Create business cases and strategy artifacts that address unique traveler needs and competitive insights.

  • Drive AI-powered innovation: Spearhead initiatives to integrate AI and machine learning into our content creation and personalization efforts. Explore ways to use AI to generate new, relevant content that captures demand and makes Expedia the number one destination to research and plan a trip.

  • Evolve the Traveler Experience: You will leverage supplier provided content and use it to optimize the traveler experience. You will identify opportunities to create compelling, personalized content that resonates with diverse traveler segments.

  • Enhance the Marketplace: Use traveler insights and partner feedback to drastically improve how we source content from partners and immerse our travelers in their experiences.

  • Lead content delivery: Tackle broad traveler needs and themes that cut across multiple brands and teams, with an emphasis on end-to-end experiences and outcomes. Establish a data-driven framework for evaluating and prioritizing content opportunities.

  • Measure and improve performance: Define success metrics for content effectiveness across brands. Partner with business, strategy, and analytics teams to continuously improve outcomes for travelers and partners.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of industry product management experience

  • Product experience in content generation and building scalable systems to deliver assets across rich consumer experiences.

  • Experience with leveraging AI and machine learning to innovate content creation and personalization.

  • Experience leading product teams with a track record of coordinating resources and delivery across diverse stakeholders.

  • A proven ability to develop and communicate a clear content vision and strategy that aligns with business goals.

The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $208,000.00 to $291,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $333,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
