What You鈥檒l Do:
As our Reimbursement and Market Access Specialist, you鈥檒l play a key role in ensuring patient access to our innovative IVS products by supporting healthcare providers through the complex reimbursement landscape. You鈥檒l be the go-to expert for both internal teams and external customers on coding, coverage, payment, and patient access processes鈥攅nsuring successful navigation of the billing, prior authorization, and appeals process.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to day-to-day reimbursement inquiries from field sales teams, physicians, ASCs, and hospital providers.
Provide accurate and timely information via phone, voicemail, email, and our Coding Hotline.
Research and interpret reimbursement codes and payer policies (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-9/10).
Support providers and office staff with prior authorizations, denials, and appeals.
Troubleshoot and resolve reimbursement challenges in collaboration with customers and internal teams.
Ensure proper documentation and accurate coding to optimize claim success.
Manage and track inquiries to identify trends and inform strategic improvements.
Assist in communicating the value of Stryker IVS products to payers and providers.
Uphold compliance with HIPAA and company guidelines in all communications.
Contribute to the development of reimbursement tools and resources to support broader strategic goals.
What You Need:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor鈥檚 degree; or associate鈥檚 degree with 4 years of relevant experience; or a high school degree and 6+ years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in medical coding, coverage, and reimbursement processes.
1+ year of experience working with Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medigap, and commercial payer policies.
1+ year of experience working with prior authorization, denials, and appeals workflows.
1+ year of experience reviewing and interpreting operative notes, claims, EOBs, and other clinical documentation.
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist 鈥� Physician (CCS-P) strongly preferred.
