Ideal candidates must be able and flexible to work one of the assigned shifts.听The shift schedules are as follows: 2nd shift (2 pm-10 pm), 3rd shift (10 pm-6 am), or a rotating 12-hour shift (6 pm-6 am). The 12-hour shift rotation follows a pattern of 2 nights on, 2 nights off, then 3 nights on, with every other weekend off.听听

**The starting wage for this position is $20.64/ hr. + $2.00/ hr. shift differential.**听

Job Summary

Completing听your听initial training may听be required on a day shift, even if you were hired for a night shift.听听

The Production Operator is responsible for leading machine set-ups and changeovers, problem-solving, making decisions on machine adjustments, and inspecting and packaging finished products to customer specifications. In addition, the production operator will be responsible for operating various coating, finishing, and/or powered industrial vehicles to move inbound and outbound products.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:听

• Perform routine set-up and changeover of machines, making adjustments as needed to process operations accordingly.
• Run orders per product specifications and standard practices. This may include sorting, labeling, and packaging products per customer specifications, quality requirements, and standard practices
• Perform tests and check products routinely for multiple characteristics using standard measuring tools, tape measures, etc.听
• Understand and implement quality standards and procedures
• Meet production schedules and program production sequences for optimal productivity.听
• Follow standard operating procedures and specifications or instructions of higher-level technical personnel and monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
• Maintain production records and logs of equipment and product performance.
• Maintain the work area with necessary supplies to complete processes
• Operate heavy equipment to move, load, and ship material and/or finished products throughout the manufacturing environment.听
• Support inventory accuracy by completing cycle counts and correcting discrepancies to achieve business goals.听
• Assist and support other team members in meeting department and site goals. Participate and share in performing all tasks necessary to run the facility.听听
• Contribute and participate in team decision-making processes including problem solving and continuous improvement efforts. Provide support in project work and other special requests.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or 3+ years of relevant manufacturing work experience
• Must be able to follow written and oral instruction
• Must prioritize safety in every aspect of the working environment adhering to established safety practices, policies, and procedures
• Must be able and willing to work overtime, including short-notice requests
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Physical Requirements:

• Movement: May require the ability to stand/walk for up to 80% of your shift, with frequent pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and squatting 50% of the time.
• Lifting: May require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds 50% of your shift.
• Environment: May require being comfortable working in an environment with varying temperatures.
