    Autodesk's Developer ecosystem team is seeking a hands-on, experienced Software Development Manager to lead a team of talented and driven developers responsible for building and modernizing Autodesk Platform Services to reach its true potential as the leading Design and Make platform.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering career growth and handling performance management

    • Promote continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation

    • Attract, hire, and develop top software development talent

    • Provide technical leadership on methods, tools, techniques, standards, and procedures for high-quality software delivery

    • Participate in technical and architectural discussions and decisions

    • Conduct code reviews and technology evaluations

    • Plan, execute, and ensure the success of technical projects

    • Define development activities, deliverables, and timelines to meet business objectives and align with technical and product goals

    • Collaborate with other teams for requirements and develop a cohesive technical strategy for seamless service and system integration

    • Estimate task complexity, resource needs, and timelines to ensure timely delivery while balancing priorities

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 5+ years of people management experience

    • Hands-on experience with public cloud technologies (AWS and Azure)

    • 5+ years experience developing Windows-based applications with substantial user base (.Net, COM, MFC, etc.)

    • Recent hands-on experience with one or more languages â€� C#, C++

    • Experience consuming, designing, and implementing REST APIs

    • Experience working with remote teams and other cross-functional stakeholders

    • Good self-management skills and ability to track and prioritize multiple tasks coming in simultaneously

    • Experience modernizing legacy cloud services

    Salary transparency

    Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $136,000 and $187,000. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
