Job Description

Core Job Responsibilities
• �  Full responsibilities of Bulgarian Market Access issues
• �  Monitor changes and environment in order to anticipate risks and exploit opportunities.
• �  Define the strategic response to the anticipated changes in market environment, find innovative solutions on how to accelerate AbbVie’s products entering the market and maintain and optimize access of in-line products (i.e. customized value proposition, multi stakeholder strategic initiatives, etc.) 
• �  Propose to brand teams and provide training of analysis, tools, evidence, actions and programs to support and communicate the value propositions
• �  Develop pricing scenarios and P&R strategies, prepare submissions and objections handling, and monitor prices
• �  Maintain an awareness and understanding of the impact of Bulgarian decisions on AbbVie’s area and global business, and help to ensure area activities meet the needs of Bulgaria
• �  Actively participate in cross-functional task force (medical, regulatory, MA) to bring key insights for New products (prior to phase 3) and help better tailor clinical development to ensure optimized access and price
• �  Work closely with other functions such as Medical and Government Affairs to build networks, understanding and close relationships with decision makers and leverage influence through joint programs of action
• �  Provide strategic contribution to the NNLRP process and active contributor for the Future Fit implementation

• �  Work actively with the National Council for Pricing and Reimbursement (NCPR) in connection with:
-   achieve reimbursement of new products;
-   save/increase the percentage of reimbursement of the products included in PDL;
-   prepare and submit documents for price registration and PDL inclusion.
-  proactively communicate on administrative and expert level (primary contact) and assure effective back-up on decision making level 
• �  Work actively with the MoH to enable access of AbbVie products to tender procedures:  
-  proactively communicate on administrative and expert level (primary contact) and assure effective back-up on decision making level 
• �  Work actively with the NHIF to ensure the necessary reimbursement of AbbVie products.

• �  Maintain correspondence with MoH, NCPR, NHIF, Transparency Committee and other institutions.
• �  Prepare all legal documents (PoA, Affidavits, Declarations, etc.) necessary for the above described procedures


Qualifications

Skills
• �  Ability to interpret scientific data to assess its relevance to stakeholders and build into value messages
• �  Ability to analyze complex models and scientific data and draw out key messages
• �  Ability to think strategically to understand how to position a value-story in the context of brand and affiliate strategy
• �  Ability to effectively interface with customers in order to deliver value messages and gather insights
• �  Ability to lead/manage cross-functional projects in order to develop value propositions
• �  Ability to communicate effectively, in order to facilitate internal information sharing and brand team working
• �  Ability to collaborate with other MA functions and brand teams to collect and share insights to support the development of value propositions

Knowledge
• �  Has knowledge of established cost-containment measures used to manage pharmaceutical expenditure in Bulgaria.
• �  Has knowledge of Bulgarian market mechanics, healthcare policy and funding pathways
• �  Has knowledge of payer mindset and motivations in Bulgaria.
• �  Has knowledge of pharmaco-economic principles

Experience
• �  3-5 years working in pharmaceutical industry or within healthcare payer/provider or academic institution
• �  Preferred: 2 years of specific market access experience
