The Finance Quality Assurance, Testing, and Validation (QATV) team is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, reliability and control through testing Citi’s regulatory and management reporting while providing an objective assessment of issue remediation. The team sits within the Finance organization and comprises nine teams with more than 250 colleagues across the globe.Ìý

QATV is the critical First Line Testing for key BCBS 239 reports and quality assurance and issue management across Finance. We will continue to enhance our methodology, deliver enterprise-wide frameworks, and drive controlled and consistent results with our partners.Ìý

Role DescriptionÌý

The Fin Solutions Intmd. Analyst is a developing professional role. Deals with most problems independently and has some latitude to solve complex problems.Ìý

ÌýIntegrates in-depth specialty area knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices. Good understanding of how the team and area integrate with others in accomplishing the objectives of the subfunction/ job family.ÌýÌý

Applies analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis tools and methodologies. Requires attention to detail when making judgments and recommendations based on the analysis of factual information.ÌýÌý

Typically deals with variable issues with potentially broader business impact. Applies professional judgment when interpreting data and results. Breaks down information in a systematic and communicable manner.ÌýÌý

Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to exchange potentially complex/sensitive information. Moderate but direct impact through close contact with the businesses' core activities. Responsibilities:Ìý

Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions, including:Ìý

• Participates in formulating and setting strategic direction for the process, organization and architecture covering Finance across Citi businesses, products, functions and locationsÌý

• Assists in setting business and information architecture standards for FinanceÌý

• Plays a part in settling and operating necessary forums and frameworks to establish and govern policies and starts for global Finance processesÌý

• Participates in assessing and incorporating changing business, regulatory and market information needs into finance processes and applicationsÌý

• Identifies and resolves problems using autonomous judgment.Ìý

• Implements workflow or process change and redesign, and uses a thorough knowledge of the specific function.Ìý

Specific responsibilities of the Source Document Retrieval role:Ìý

• Document Sourcing â€� Identify and retrieve source documentation for use in testing.Ìý Obtain documents via direct system access and Business/Technology SME outreach. Request, retrieve and package source documentation across a range of financial products obtained via various global functions to ensure they meet the established requirements Ì�

• Data Analysis â€� Compare reported values to source documentation. Review, analyze and raise issues in raw data received from Testing Partners.  Maintain Last Traceable Point (LTP) Inventory which codifies applicable documents, sources, and retrieval methods for each productÌý

• Stakeholder Management â€� Build and maintain relationships with SMEs across the business and global functions. Professionally and effectively presenting information to some levels of management Ì�

• Process Management and Process Improvement Implementation â€� Contributes to the design, roll-out and governance of financial solutions.Ìý Provide inputs to enable the analysis of the document sourcing current process, identifying and implementing process improvements Ì�

• Project Management - Managing the Document Sourcing process through cycles including allocation of resources and issue escalation management Ì�

• Risk Management - Proactively identify & manage risk Ì�

• Qualifications:Ìý

• 2-5+ years of experienceÌý

• Proficient knowledge of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing the goals of the areaÌý

• Has working knowledge of industry practices and standards.Ìý

• SME knowledge of any financial products such as Derivatives, Securities, SFTs, Loans, Deposits, Cash, etc. Ì�

• Proficient use of Microsoft Applications (PowerPoint, Access, Word), especially MS Excel with strong background in Lookups and Pivot Tables Ì�

• Experience in information management or sourcing within testing environmentsÌý

• Background in regulatory reporting or compliance documentationÌý

• Experience working with SMEs to gather necessary documentationÌý

• Familiarity with systems and databases used for documentation managementÌý
