Position Summary:
听
As a key member of the Technical Application Group (TAG), you will play an essential role in formulating innovative nutritional supplement products, including organic and Non-GMO options, across various formats. Your work will support the formulation and manufacturing processes for our solid dose and powder products, enhancing our overall manufacturing operations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine existing products, address manufacturing challenges, evaluate new technologies and ingredients, and foster strong relationships with external partners.
In this position, you will actively collect, evaluate, analyze, and summarize data while identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and proactively resolving any manufacturing issues that arise. Your contributions will be vital in ensuring that all activities comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).

Important note: This position requires you to be present on-site full-time at the Leonia, NJ factory, five days a week.

Key Responsibilities:
听
- Formulate nutritional supplement products in various forms in support of manufacturing
- Assists with creating and approving new raw material specifications, master batch records, change controls, deviations or other required documentation in support of manufacturing existing in-line products
- Assists in scale up, validating and transferring technologies/processes to other internal manufacturing sites, or externally鈥�
- Defines and implements solutions for routine tasks, balancing achievement of milestones with high quality standards
- Provides technical support to manufacturing including but not limited to formulation or process improvement, formulation globalization, cost savings initiatives, and trouble shooting
- Interacts with multi functional teams (including Quality, Procurement, Product Development and Manufacturing) and the Technical Design Council to resolve issues as may arise in the course of new product development or existing product improvement
- Negotiates timeline commitments among other team members such that agreed objectives and timings for completion of activities are achieved
- Rapidly communicates major changes to project plans to manager/director听
- Sets and refines individual priorities as necessary to remain focused on objectives and project milestones under rapidly changing circumstances听
- Looks for innovative and better ways of doing things. Actively looks to eliminate non-value added steps of processes and procedures听
- Explores and shares new scientific information, technologies, products and processes with the Science and Technology community听
- Builds awareness of developments outside of the company through attendance/presentations at trade associations or scientific meetings听
- Maintains external collaborations with suppliers, academia and other professional bodies听
- Performs comprehensive, sophisticated and critical evaluation of own data听
- Ensures that all internal and external work activities are conducted to appropriated standards, in accordance with Company policies, laws, quality standards, SOPs , etc.听
- Prefer 1+ years of experience with hands-on development and characterization of solid dose formulations, including tablet, capsules, liquids, soft gels and gummies or the equivalent experience听
- Experienced with laboratory activities, technology transfers, Quality by Design, and/or Operational Excellence tools听
- Proficient using scientific principles to develop or optimize formulation and manufacturing processes听

Experience & Education Requirements:
听
- Bachelor鈥檚 Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science or other related discipline
- Extensive relevant industry experience will be considered in lieu of an undergraduate degree听
- Strong laboratory and experimental skills, data analysis and written and verbal reports听
- Prefer Successful track record in the development of solid dosage products听
- Prefer Working knowledge of tablet presses, encapsulation, granulation and blending equipment听
- Must have excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, excellent organizational, and interpersonal skills听
- Ability to interact well in multi-functional teams, including product development using Stage/Gate methodology, and in fostering a team approach to achieving project goals听
- Ability to lift approximately 40 pounds听
- Ability to succeed in a changing environment and adjusting effectively鈥�
- Continuously looks for ways to do things faster and better, while maintaining high quality standards
- Creative and intellectually curious; tries different and novel ways to solve obstacles听

The approximate pay range for this position is $80,000.00 to $100,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
