Morgan Stanley Fund Services Inc. seeks a Director, Fund Services � Client Services in Purchase, New York
Conduct comprehensive reviews within the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) scope for parties who become investors in the Alternative Investment Funds of clients. Review investor documents and risk profiles to ensure they meet the requirements of the local jurisdiction, screening investor, and all concerned parties per the OFAC sanction list and Worldcheck database. Analyze and assess high-risk investors such as Politically Exposed Persons and investors within high-risk areas. Conduct compliance checks on new and existing investors in accordance with the AML policy of the applicable jurisdiction or country. Communicate with the investors on a daily basis to obtain AML documents pertaining to their investments.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $159,370 and $170,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a/an Associate, Manager, or related occupation in the financial services field. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Lexis Nexis; OFAC; Cayman Islands and APAC Anti Money Laundering (AML) regulatory requirements; identification and verification of investors, beneficial owners, and control persons prior to processing full transfers, redemptions, and withdrawals; utilizing public lists and media services to conduct investor screening on sanctions; Nominee Letter and Eligible Introducers Letters Testing; working with AML compliance officers (“AMLCOs�) and Money Laundering Reporting Officers (“MLROs�); reviewing Investor Customer Due Diligence (“CDD�) information; and risk categories including standard, simplified, and enhanced.
