The Senior Director is responsible to lead various Optum Corporate Services functions including financial forecasting and budgeting, financial reporting, business planning, developing business analytics and metrics reporting, system enhancement initiatives, combined with ad-hoc analysis for total Optum Corporate (i.e., cost optimization) and lead the Optum Corporate consolidated forecast process. This person will also be an advisor, evaluating and owning financial plans and analysis of financial and operational metrics to evaluate and influence senior leadership. This position leads a team of 5-8.

This position follows a hybrid schedule with four in-office days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership
- Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting processes for Optum Corporate.
- Own and manage the consolidated forecast process across Optum Corporate functions.
Business Planning & Analysis
- Develop and oversee business planning initiatives.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial and operational analyses to support cost optimization and strategic decision-making.
Analytics & Metrics Development
- Design and implement business analytics frameworks and performance metrics reporting.
- Translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leadership.
System Enhancement & Optimization
- Drive system improvement initiatives to enhance financial and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement technology and process upgrades.
Executive Advisory & Influence
- Serve as a financial advisor to senior leadership, influencing decisions through data-driven insights.
Evaluate financial plans and operational metrics to guide strategic direction

Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor a team of 5-8 professionals.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:Ìý
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience with strategic finance, internal controls, business analytics, financial analysis
- 5+ years professional staff management experience
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial systems (e.g., PeopleSoft), and AR/cash application processes
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive enterprise-level initiatives
- Proven solid analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA or MBA
- Supervisory and Leadership: Proven experience in leading and supervising a large team of various skill sets and backgrounds, ensuring effective collaboration and achieving organizational goals
- Experience with Oracle EPM software: Demonstrated expertise in utilizing this software for financial management, forecasting and reporting
- Automation of Processes and Procedures: Skilled in automating processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and improve overall productivity
- Legacy Systems Integration and Data Migration experience: Proficient in integrating legacy systems and managing data migration projects, ensuring seamless transitions and data integrity

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $156,400 to $268,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.Ìý
