Morgan Stanley Investment Management Inc. seeks an Analyst, Operations in New York, New York
Review investment data, statistics and quantitative financial reporting and assist with ad-hoc requests during fundraising efforts. Accumulate and consolidate the investment data and statistics needed for accurate financial reporting. Perform data reconciliation with Fund Administrators. Assist with preparation of individualized quantitative performance reporting for key institutional investors. Assist with automation and enhancement of current quantitative reporting and data management. Assist with data integration to Performance Management System, including position reconciliation. Coordinate responses to data requests during annual financial audits and act as a liaison between the auditors and the business unit. Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $124,000 and $125,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Master鈥檚 degree in Accounting and Information Analysis, Business Analytics, or a related degree and two (2) years of experience or two (2) years as a Tax Intern, Tax Consultant, Senior Tax Consultant, Advisory Consultant, or a related role. Requires one (1) of experience with: Financial modeling in Excel; writing complex formulas to analyze a large number of data for financial modeling and analysis; performing reconciliation of financial data between multiple sources and vendors; automating manual Excel reporting for external purposes into dynamic reporting templates; system testing; valuation of alternative assets; reading and analyzing balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements; and retrieving specific data points from financial reporting.
