Job Details
As a Sr. Technical Consultant, you will work with a broad range of customers in the MEA region you will provide vision and leadership while promoting the use of Esri technology to enable customer success. You will impact the development and growth of our technology into new domains by working closely with industry experts throughout the company.
The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and deliver transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our user be successful.
Responsibilities- Manage a complex and diverse technical scope of Professional Services engagements, projects, and programs
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their geospatial needs
- Provide guidance on the right Esri technologies customers should use to address their business challenges
- Design, Implement and configure solutions for Esri clients ensuring the highest quality of service
- Conduct diagnosis and performance tuning of customer existing workflows and solutions
- Contribute proposals with technical vision and labor estimates
- Work closely with the customer IT team to implement and deploy Esri systems
- Collaborate with other Professional Services and Business Development teams to support the presales demonstration and technical discussions
- Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and other technical staff
- 8+ years of professional experience in GIS
- Hands-on experience working with Esri software
- Demonstrated experience in platform architecture, solution design, project envisioning, planning, developing, and deployment
- Knowledge of integration of other enterprise systems
- Knowledge of geospatial and mapping concepts such as spatial analysis, map projections, and more
- Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented architecture
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas to customers, executives, other technical staff or non-technical staff
- Proven ability to design, implement, and/or administer enterprise GIS solutions/systems that leverage Esri software products
- Evaluate and translate customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical and creative plans and solutions
- Understanding of IT concepts such as databases, networking, security, integration, and more
- Engage, collaborate, and facilitate with customers, internal and external teams, and stakeholders
- Assist in preparing proposals, including preparing solution definition, scope of services, staffing, and pricing
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related STEM field
- Fluent in writing, reading and speaking in English
- Knowledge of and experience with software engineering and/or robust application development principles and practices.
- Proficiency in writing and speaking Arabic
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Remote Sensing, or related fields
