Job DescriptionThe Scrum Master will be responsible for creating detailed work plans, managing resources, maintaining project updates, and communicating progress to stakeholders according to the HR Program and Roadmap. This role is crucial and unique, as it involves working with both internal business clients and technology professionals to implement tools and processes that achieve effective, appropriate, and sometimes market-leading solutions to business strategies. The Scrum Master will facilitate delivery and collaboration as a servant leader for the HR Program.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Ensure timely completion of deliverables according to the HR Program Roadmap.
- Own and contribute to the HR Program-wide Roadmap/PI plan, milestones, and deliverables
- Create and publish Agile framework artifacts and metrics.
- Manage cross-squad dependencies in collaboration with the other squads/programs.
- Guide and coach the team and organization in understanding Agile methodologies, framework, values and tools
- Partner with HR Technology Owner in managing the HR Program Roadmap to include management of project governance, demand charter, project execution and budget financials
- Facilitate meetings effectively by communicating clearly and concisely with team members and stakeholders
- Collaborate with HR Product Owners to ensure effective product backlog refinement.
- Foster a trustful, safe work environment based on openness and transparency.
- Guide and coach team discussions, decision-making, conflict resolution, and working agreements.
- Promote continuous improvement of solutions and delivery processes.
Work Experience / Knowledge:
- Scrum Master/Project Management with over 5 years of experience in an HR systems environment (project management skills preferred).
- Proven experience in implementingÌýWorkday HCMÌýor other HCM SaaS solutions.
- Skilled in engaging with business partners, establishing project schedules, and leading technical discussions.
- Knowledge of theÌýHuman Resources and PayrollÌýdomain is desired but not mandatory.
- Familiar with variousÌýSaaS solutionsÌýin the HR/Payroll space and Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solutions.
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
- Proficiency withÌýJIRAÌýandÌýscaled AgileÌýmethodologies.
- Expertise inÌýMS Office, includingÌýMS Visio, with the ability to produce high-level executive presentations.
- Ability to analyze project needs and determine necessary resources to meet objectives.
- Proven track record of successfully managing within a complex, schedule-sensitive, and fast-paced environment. Must be detail-oriented, a self-starter, and possess strong organizational skills.
- Ability to lead project teams in documenting current state and developing future state processes, using tools such as process mapping, statistical analysis, and other process improvement tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Self-directed, capable of working both independently and within a team with minimal direction.
Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science is preferred or commensurate relevant work experience
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) highly desired.
License/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)
- Certifications in project management a plus
- Certifications as a Scrum Master a plus.
