Summary:

In this role, you will develop and execute customized contracting strategies that drive cost reduction, enhance operational efficiency, and maximize delivered value鈥攗ltimately increasing client satisfaction. You will serve as a strategic contracting and sourcing expert delivering system-wide cost savings through tailored solutions. This dedicated sourcing position supports OhioHealth and requires the ability to build strong stakeholder relationships, navigate complex negotiations, and ensure contracts meet both client and supplier needs.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and Vizient鈥檚 legal team to negotiate contract terms and conditions, build consensus, and execute agreements that meet client objectives.

• Prepare and/or analyze requests for proposals (RFPs) to inform sourcing recommendations and contracting strategies.

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop contracts that align with specific requirements and organizational goals.

• Manage assigned cost-savings projects from initiation to completion, adapting approaches to client and supplier differences to ensure success.

• Monitor and ensure contract compliance with agreed terms and conditions to achieve targeted cost savings.

• Support vendor relationship management, including organizing in-services, scheduling product trials, and resolving product or service issues.

• Calculate, analyze, and interpret cost data to identify cost-savings opportunities and process improvements.

• Consult with team leaders when additional analytical or operational resources are needed to support projects.

• Develop and deliver clear communications to key stakeholders regarding recommendations, progress updates, successes, and challenges.

• Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and client stakeholders to promote collaboration and alignment.

Qualifications:

• Relevant degree preferred; advanced degree a plus.

• 2 or more years of relevant experience in contracting required.

• Strong project management, negotiation, strategic partnering, and conflict resolution skills.

• Proven experience developing contracting strategies with healthcare suppliers.

• Demonstrated experience in contract strategy development, negotiation, and redlining.

• Purchased Services/Indirect contracting experience within a healthcare environment preferred; IT contracting experience is a plus.

• Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely using Microsoft Office tools.

• Strong relationship-building and strategic partnering skills.

• Experience conducting financial analysis and quantitative/qualitative data assessments desired.

• Must reside within commuting distance to Columbus, Ohio; hybrid role requiring approximately two days per week onsite.
