Purpose
The Manager, Business Human Resources (BHR) is an HR business partner position that will support the US Migraine Therapeutics franchise under AbbVie’s Neuroscience & Eyecare US Therapeutics organization. The person will influence and support business decisions and ensure the people strategy supports AbbVie’s overall business success in supporting our patients.Ìý

The Manager, BHR responsibilities will include performance management, employee relations, talent development, organizational effectiveness, change management, HR analytics, compensation planning and facilitation of talent acquisition.ÌýResponsibilities may be expanded to include additional client assignments.Ìý
Responsibilities
- Designs and implements HR strategies in support of business priorities.
- In partnership with Centers of Excellence, design and deliver HR programs to support People Strategy & Organizational Goals.
- Leads and execute core HR processes including: performance management, employee relations , compensation planning, talent development, organizational effectiveness, change management, and facilitate talent acquisition for client group.
- Coach/mentor and consult senior leaders regarding leadership development, succession planning, and talent management.
- Acts as an advisor and thought partner for business leaders to enhance talent pipeline and increase effectiveness of the organization, foster employee engagement, collaboration, and teamwork.
- Partners and collaborates with Centers of Excellence and HR Operations functions within AbbVie to identify and implement appropriate solutions for client needs.Ìý
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources or Business Management. Master’s degree preferred.
- 6+ Years of HR Business Partner OR 4+ years of HR Business PartnerÌý²¹²Ô»åÌý2+ years of related HR experience, preferably supporting multiple organizational functions or business units.
- Demonstrated success of functional HR roles/responsibilities and impact on the business.Ìý
- Work experience within a sophisticated, complex corporate environment, as defined by size (10,000+ employees), geographic presence, and/or organizational structure.
- Ability to overnight travel 40% of the time
- Strong interpersonal skills, carries executive presence with business leaders.
- End-to-end project management experience. Effective direct client group and cross-functional stakeholder management.
- Ability to garner buy-in and enable transformational change in a matrixed environment.
- Constantly works with an enterprise view, aligned to functional and franchise strategy, while delivering outcomes and driving execution.
- Demonstrates leadership competencies - has the potential and desire for growth.
- Asks thoughtful questions, influences without authority, and pushes back (appropriately) with senior leaders.
- Demonstrated reasoning abilities and sound judgment, resourceful, well organized, and results oriented.
- Strong communicator verbally and in writing; strong presentation skills; proficient in Microsoft Excel and HRIS systems.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the CompanyÌýbelieves inÌýgood faith it will pay for this role at the timeÌýof this posting based on the job grade for this position.ÌýIndividualÌýcompensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, andÌýweÌýmay ultimatelyÌýpay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in theÌýfuture.​ÌýSalary: $106,500 - $202,500
