The Remediation Analyst is responsible for resolving security vulnerabilities on Optum managed enterprise workstations, and contributes to team goals to ensure desired compliance levels.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receives work assignments directly from Remediation Management Team manager
- Confirms approved solutions for identified vulnerabilities
- Engages impacted end users and Application Owners using approved communication protocols
- Performs security updates in accordance with prescribed remediation plans
- Provides status updates. Â Monitors Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
- Escalates security violations to appropriate parties
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate degree or equivalent experience
- Experience providing Level 2 support for remote end users. Â Quality & Professionalism
- Experience with use of systems management tools (Altiris, SCCM, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management)
- Experience working with Powershell scripts and Microsoft Excel data analysis.
- Experience with security risk assessment of published software vulnerabilities.
- Active industry standard security-related certification (CompTIA Security+, ISC2 CC or CISSP)
- Critical thinking & problem solving skills. Â Attention to detail
