Dr. Bridget Beamon is Principal Systems Engineer at Raytheon Intelligence & Space, Common Engineering Organization. She has over 25 years of multi-disciplined experience, working in varied roles as lead researcher, software engineer, network engineer and systems engineer. She holds a PhD in Computer Engineering, completing a dissertation on the topic of: 'Adaptive High Level Context Reasoning in Pervasive Environments'. Her career experience has included data analysis and algorithmic refinement of IBM’s Watson cognitive computing product and significant contributions to multiple projects centered on machine learning, graphs analysis and natural language programming for DoD programs. She holds several patents for her work. Bridget is a life-long learner who is now completing a second master’s degree in Systems Engineering & Management while continually growing her AI/ML knowledge.

Most recently, her commitment to learning coupled with the ability to grasp and innovatively apply technical and theoretical knowledge to real world problems, proved critical to success as she led the productization of RI&S’s Automated Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) Requirements Analysis Tool. She is working to expand the tool’s capabilities, program’s adoption of its use, and application to RI&S’s Engineering’s Digital Engineering Goals.

As one with experience navigating the gauntlet of an engineering career path while balancing real life unforeseen challenges , Bridget is passionate about leveraging her experience in developing the next generation of minority and female engineers.

Vanessa Adams is currently the Associate Director of Mechanical Systems & Externals at Tinker Air Force Base for Pratt & Whitney in Defense Sustainment. She joined Pratt & Whitney in 2014. Mrs. Adams career began in 2010 as a Production Supervisor for General Mills � Yoplait division. She then transitioned to from food and beverage manufacturing to military defense in 2011, when she joined Raytheon as an Integrated Product Team leader. While at Raytheon, she also held a role as a manufacturing engineer. In 2014 she joined Pratt and Whitney as the lead Process and Methods engineer and later as the lead Logistics Engineer for Repair Development. In 2019 Mrs. Adams took a role with Collins Aerospace as the Tinker Customer Support Director, and in December 2020, she returned to Pratt & Whitney in her current role managing the Manufacturing, Repair & Overhaul Engineering team.

Mrs. Adams holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Mississippi State University and a Masters in Systems Engineering from Pennsylvania State University. She has recently been recognized as a 2022 Science Spectrum Trailblazer by the Black Engineer of the Year Awards committee and is a 2022 STEP AHEAD Women in Manufacturing Honoree

Vanessa is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta and Jack and Jill of America where she finds time to serve her community. She tries to find a balance between, work, family, and outreach. Mrs. Adams is married to Mr. Kendrick Adams and they have two beautiful daughters.

Charlene A. Wheeless, senior advisor for equity and justice at APCO Worldwide, is the former principal vice president of global corporate affairs for Bechtel Corporation. Ms. Wheeless was responsible for global communications, issues and reputation management, sustainability, stewardship and public affairs. She served on the company’s ethics and knowledge management committees, as well as the boards of the Bechtel PAC and Bechtel Group Foundation.

Before joining Bechtel in 2009, Ms. Wheeless was vice president of communications for the Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS) business unit of Raytheon Company as well as the site executive of its Falls Church, Va. facility. In these positions she oversaw global public relations, advertising, media relations, marketing communications, employee communications, and community relations and served as the lead executive, responsible for facility operations, security and quality audits, and employee morale.

Prior to her years with Raytheon, Ms. Wheeless was senior vice president of global communications and marketing for American Management Systems (AMS) and corporate vice president of communications at DynCorp. Khadija started her career in key positions with multinational companies such as Shell Oil, Akzo Nobel, and American Airlines. She worked in the Oil, Gas, and Electricity sectors. She then transitioned to corporate finance in the US where she worked in the power sector M&A and UBS investment banking. Her experience in capital markets spans 10 years in investment banking, mergers, and acquisitions, equity, and debt capital markets, private equity, and venture capital. Lynne M. Fairbanks is Senior Vice President, D&I Consultant, focused on the Global Women’s Talent Strategy. In this capacity, she is responsible for supporting the strategies, external partnerships and programs focused on women at the Bank.Lynne joined the Bank in 2004. She’s held several roles in HR as well as supporting the consumer lines of business:Learning & Leadership Development Client Manager, Learning Manager, Business Support Manager (ClientExperience/Associate Experience), Finance Manager; all across three lines of business: Global Human Resources,Consumer Mortgage Operations and the CFO organization. She’s also held a global role within our EmployeeNetwork community as the Co-Chair of the Black Professional Group (BPG).Prior to joining Bank of America, Ms. Fairbanks was a Director for Booz Allen & Hamilton Consulting with theNew York office. Her most notable role was Program Director of the Harlem Small Business Initiative, a pro bono effort working with the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Foundation. This effort provided consulting services for Small Businesses in New York working with the NYU Business School and the NY Chapter of the NationalBlack MBAs and over 110 volunteers were aligned to this effort.Lynne is an Ally for LGBTQ+, a member of the Black Professional Group, the Disability Advocacy Network, andLEAD (Leadership, Education, Advocacy and Development for women) Network. Lynne is part of the Women’sExecutive Development Program Alumnae group and The Women’s Exchange.Ms. Fairbanks is a graduate of Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey and holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting as well as an MBA with concentrations in Management Information Systems and InternationalBusiness.
